FAQ

Epoxy Flooring: Common Questions

Answers to the flooring questions people search for most.

Still have a question? Call +91 94131 31576 or send us an enquiry.
01 Is epoxy flooring better than tiles?

For factories, warehouses, hospitals and kitchens, yes: epoxy is seamless, so there are no joints for dirt, water or chemicals to collect, and it resists heavy traffic. Tiles are more common in homes for looks and easy replacement. The choice depends on how the floor will be used.

02 How long does epoxy flooring last?

A properly applied industrial epoxy floor lasts for many years. Its life depends on the thickness of the system, the traffic, chemicals and cleaning, and how well the concrete was prepared. Thicker self-levelling systems last longer than thin coatings.

03 How long does epoxy flooring take to dry and cure?

Most epoxy floors can take light foot traffic after about a day and reach full cure in about a week, depending on the product and the temperature. Always follow the product data sheet.

04 Is epoxy flooring slippery?

A glossy epoxy floor can be slippery when wet or oily. For wet areas, ramps and kitchens, an anti-skid finish with aggregate broadcast into the coating is used.

05 What is PU flooring?

PU (polyurethane) flooring is a resin floor that is more flexible than epoxy. PU-cementitious versions handle heat, thermal shock and hot-water or steam cleaning, so they are used in food, dairy and pharmaceutical plants and commercial kitchens.

06 What is the cost of epoxy flooring per square foot?

It depends on the system (coating, self-levelling or screed), the thickness and the floor condition. Send us the area and how the floor will be used and we will suggest a system and quote for the material.

07 What is a floor hardener?

A floor hardener is a dry-shake powder (metallic or non-metallic) spread on fresh concrete and trowelled in, or a liquid applied on hardened concrete, to make the surface harder, more wear-resistant and dust-free. It is common in warehouses, factories and parking areas.
